Team Leader for Outdoor Maintenance

About the Role

At Järfällahus, we have a strong focus on creating and maintaining clean, tidy, and pleasant areas for our tenants. Therefore, we have a department that focuses on land maintenance, cleaning, and environmental rooms. The department aims to create job opportunities for our tenants. In our continued development journey, we need to strengthen our new operation with a responsible, committed, and unpretentious team leader focusing on outdoor maintenance who wants to help lead Järfällahus to the next level.

You will join a core part of Järfällahus that is responsible for ensuring that our tenants have a pleasant living environment. You will be the team leader for employees working with outdoor maintenance, and most of your workday will consist of developing employees' skills in outdoor maintenance, driving personal development, and preparing employees for future job opportunities. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring that daily operations follow established processes and routines. The role of team leader also has an operational aspect, which means that you will actively work with outdoor maintenance alongside the team and perform the tasks included in the outdoor maintenance role. You will report to the head of outdoor maintenance, cleaning, and environmental caretakers.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• Daily management within the team
• Daily guidance
• Plan and conduct training sessions
• Sand and leaf collection, snow shoveling, litter picking, and lawn mowing
• Strengthen areas from a safety perspective in collaboration with other departments within the company
• Maintain contact with tenants, contractors, tenant associations, etc.
• Clear tenant dialogue focusing on our annual customer survey (NKI)
• Ensure that materials and supplies are available and ordered as needed
• Routine inspections of our outdoor environments

About You

As a leader, you are a role model and act through an unpretentious, engaged, attentive, and goal-oriented working method.

You thrive in an environment characterized by learning and development, as many of our employees are far from the labor market. You are a service-oriented and driven person with a holistic perspective who can plan and manage daily work in outdoor maintenance in a solution-focused and pedagogical manner, as well as understanding the importance of being a team player and collaborating with others. You are attentive and have a professional approach towards tenants and employees.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who has worked for at least three years in outdoor maintenance. It is advantageous if you have previously held a leadership role, worked with guidance and training, and have prior experience in daily management.

You should have at least a high school education.

You need to have very good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. If you also master additional languages and have previous experience working in the public housing sector, this is also considered an advantage. You also need to have a driver's license, B-category.
